What does lifetime access mean?

When you enroll in one of my courses, you gain lifetime access to the content. This means you'll have ongoing access to stream the course materials through Teachable for as long as I continue to host my courses on this platform. Additionally, all course materials are downloadable, allowing you to keep them for personal use indefinitely.

How do I access my classes?

Login is via https://classes.laurahornart.com/. You’ll just need to enter your email address—Teachable will then send you a one-time passcode to log in (no password required).

If you don’t receive the code, please check your spam or promotions folder.

Still having trouble? Contact me at laurahornart@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to help.

What is the refund policy?

As my classes are instant-access and fully downloadable, I’m unable to offer refunds once you’re enrolled.

I encourage you to read through the class details, watch the trailer, and reach out with any questions before signing up.

That said, it’s important to me that my students are happy. If you experience any issues or unexpected circumstances, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at laurahornart@gmail.com — I’m always happy to help where I can.

What support is available?

When a new class goes live, I am in the Classroom and Facebook Group Mon to Fri for the first two weeks. After that, I pop in approx. 1-2 times per week. You will also receive support from your fellow artists.

Is there an online community?

Yes, all class participants have the option of joining the Laura Horn Art Community Private Facebook Group. There is also a hashtag #laurahornartclasses that can be used on Instagram and other social media platforms. Participating in social media is optional.

Do I need all of the supplies?

No, I encourage you to work with what you have and adapt the classes to suit your needs. I am all for mixing things up and experimenting with materials! Many students find it helpful to watch a class through first and then decide on their supplies choices.

Which class? I can't choose.

You might find it helpful to think about what kind of media you want to focus on. While all of my classes are mixed media to a certain extent some classes lean more to watercolour while others to acrylic. Check out the watercolour, acrylic and mixed media class bundles for inspiration.

What level are the classes?

The classes are suitable for anyone who has an interest in mixed-media abstract art. Having said that, if you are new to painting The Melting Pot, Watercolour Explorations and Minimal Magic are excellent starter courses.

Do I need the internet?

Yes, you will need a good internet connection to view and/or download the video content for this course. If you download the videos, once downloaded, you can watch the videos on your device without an internet connection.

What is the format?

The classes are delivered in video format via the online platform Teachable. All videos are professionally shot with multiple camera angles. I chat to you as I am painting and you get to see inside my studio and surroundings. There is also additional written content in the classroom.

I do love a little mini abstract. Do you ever get excited about an especially beautiful splash of paint? Or a mark that meanders in just the right way. These more spacious abstracts are so good for discovering new marks. ✨

Falling back in love with art again 💙
