Day 5: Composition

Today is the final day of the challenge, and the creative task is to paint a series of small studies in your sketchbook. Working small is a lovely way to explore composition and experiment with how elements sit together on the page.

In the video, I use a simple grid, but this is completely optional. The focus is on trying out different arrangements and playing with light, medium, and dark. If you’re working in layers, you can move between pages while things dry and keep the momentum going.
